Biography

It all started back in '89 when Arun Ramautar, nowadays better known as music producer and DJ Ray Mautar, was born. Whenever he heard a beat in his younger years, he started showing all kinds of moves. The hidden passion for music was something no one expected to go this far.

Since he finished secondary school in 2009, his love and interest in making music started. As soon as he entered nightclubs, he felt that he and the crowd needed something else, something you don't hear on commercials, radio or television all day long. The plan to concentrate on school was gone in a beat and he bought a license for FL Studio and studio equipement. Ray Mautar was born!

Moombahton, Bubbling, Kuduro, Trap, Dembow and (latin)house became the main genres and thanks to his motivation, hard work and being surrounded by the right people, the first bootlegs and remixes were uploaded on Soundcloud. Because of the passion for making musical content, statistics didn't get the full attention. He just kept on producing whatever felt good. Ray always believed in just one rule: there are no rules. Just keep on making what you love and try to find the right people to share your content with. There's an audience for all types of music.

Nowadays Ray focuses on original content only. With >2.000.000 worldwide plays on his content on multiple platforms, he knows there's more! With releases as Bota, Lento, Kulo and Adjuma, the future seems bright.
